The necked end mill might be very slightly less stiff, but the necking down doesn't appear to be more than a few thou. Maybe the shorter flute length would eliminate any chance of rubbing in the upper section already milled? Just wondered if anyone had any experience with these and had formed an opinion, good or bad.
